By paying attention to people and things, their relationship with space, movement and time, and the perception of value, we seek to improve the way of thinking about Architecture and design the best solution.  The creative and realistic attitude in understanding the client’s needs and desires and the experience of the diversity of scale and complexity of the projects carried out lead to the sharp definition of project guidelines.  The idea expressed in the Project and materialized in the work is the result of the method that privileges the careful management of the program, the rigorous treatment of information, the careful preparation of studies and projects, the systematic monitoring of the work and the evaluation of its use and capacity to response to established requirements.


URBAN PLANNING

“Urban design and urban composition will be the essential elements for the rebirth of cities”. in New Letter of Athens 2003 In the spirit of the Coherent City vision expressed by the European Council of Urbanists, Cunha Ferreira Arquitectos assumes the coordination and management of the transdisciplinary teams of Urbanism and Spatial Planning, recognizing the social interest of the interventions and the requirement to balance public and private interests, ensuring their viability in all aspects. Gastão da Cunha Ferreira is a founding member of the Portuguese Association of Town Planners and was a member of the board of the Association of Portuguese Town Planners (2008/ 2014).  His experience in participating in the coordination and implementation of plans includes large scale interventions such as the new cities of Caraíba, Bahia, Brazil (17,000 inhab.) and Barcarena, Pará, Brazil (130,000 inhab.) and also plans in Portugal of diverse scope with intervention from conception and programming to execution. 


CONSULTING

To support properly informed investment decisions, Cunha Ferreira Arquitectos provides a wide range of consulting services to define alternative scenarios for the various aspects of the project's feasibility and the operational options to be considered in its development. The services include the definition and assessment of the client's objectives, the elaboration of utilization programs, the analysis of the regulatory framework and other constraints, the definition of approach strategies and the development and preparation of the procedures roadmap, as well as the conceptual study of solutions. 

TECHNICAL DUE DILIGENCE

Cunha Ferreira Arquitectos assists the client in the evaluation and negotiation of real estate assets and carries out technical audits that may include, in addition to the verification of the current and potential physical conditions of the properties, the analysis and parameterization of the legal and regulatory framework and also the verification of other determinant conditions .


PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND COORDINATION

Cunha Ferreira Arquitectos assumes the coordination and management of the technical teams ensuring the interface between the client and all internal and external stakeholders and the reliability and quality of the information collected and produced, in order to promote the appropriate procedures for the implementation of the project in accordance with the established definitions and planned deadlines.


PROJECT REVISION

Cunha Ferreira Arquitectos performs the review of projects to assess their compatibility with the objectives defined by the client and with the contractual conditions, evaluating the conceptual options and compliance with the legislation. applicable technical regulations and standards. For a more efficient intervention, the revision must accompany the various phases of the project's realization, being carried out analysis reports for the client's information and support to the project's technical team


BIM SERVICES 

Cunha Ferreira Arquitectos develops the studies and projects in BIM (Building Information Modeling) in accordance with international standards allowing stakeholders online access in 2D and 3D in all phases of design using the BIM X application. BIM allows the digital recording of the physical and functional characteristics of a building or enterprise, and extends the 3D spatial dimensions associating the time (4D) and cost (5D) and also the environmental and sustainability dimension (6D) and operational management (7D). From design to demolition and recycling of materials and components, BIM is a source of shared information and a reliable basis for decisions during the life cycle of the building.
